This morning, when I am about to walk into the lift down to the car park, a teenage girl with her mum came out from the lift. The girl was challenged by down syndrome.
All of a sudden, the girl then seems to move towards me. I was a little afraid and I stepped back. She was actually shouldering out her hands forwarding towards my direction and waived to me, greeted me with a great smile: “Good Morning Che Che !” I was shocked, and suddenly there were goose bump popping up in my skin. I was so touched by her gesture and warm greetings.
As I get into the lift, I asked myself: when is the last time I openly with no fear greeted everyone I met instead of only to selective people whom I know ?
This girl reminded me of treating everyone with love, with no judgment and fear. I can never forget this touching encounter as she has treated people wholeheartedly with her unconditional love, though she has appeared to be a down syndrome child.
Love is beautiful. Through her, I have seen it once again…
